White people are allowed to have opinions

28 May

I missed the first part of this video the first time I watched it, so I was shocked by the actions of the presenter.

Then I watched it again and caught the part where the woman tells the presenter that his opinion is invalid because he’s a white male and suggests that because he’s a white male, he’s automatically racist and sexist. I also noticed that, in the midst of this she tries to talk over the host of the show and then accuses him of talking over her.

At a certain point, there’s just no way to be on her side.

For me it was when she couldn’t handle the criticism the host aimed at her and told him that she wasn’t “going to enact the labour of having to explain” why the hosts criticism of her calling him a racist, sexist purely for being born a white male is offensive to her.

For the record, I know ‘her’ name but I don’t want to direct people in her direction, so I’m going with the generic forms of ‘she’ and ‘her’.

Honestly, I just feel bad for her. I feel bad for the majority of these young social justice warriors, really.

Yes, of course there are wrongs going on in the world and there are people that seek to take advantage of you or are prejudiced against you because you were born female or an ethnicity other than Caucasian, but I think it’s been so brainwashed into these young women that they’re seeing it in situations it doesn’t exist. That wouldn’t be such an issue if it didn’t actually hurt the cause, but it does. It diminishes the impact of the voices of those people who are fighting against actual injustices. It reinforces the opinions of those people who are sexist and racist and it alienates the people who are actually on the good side because they get blamed for things they have nothing to do with.

Anyway, you might as well disregard anything I’ve said on the matter because I’m a white, male and my opinion is apparently racist, sexist and minimalising everyone on the planet. Sorry about that, and sorry about talking over you.

Crazy bitch tip: Maybe you should enact the labour of explaining whatever the fuck is going on in your head so that someone can understand why you’re calling everyone racist sexists.

Update

I found a video in which a guy goes through and accumulates all the various bullshit the young woman in the video has been up to.

But I’ve realised that it’s presented by a white male, so again, it’s clearly completely invalid as well.

A guided tour of crazy bitch town (Crazy racist bitch part 3)

30 Oct

Racism is a thing. Most educated people don’t want it to be a thing, but it’s still a thing. Personally, I grew up around people from all sorts of races and that’s given me a unique perspective on race relations because all ‘race’ meant to any of my group of friends was that we all looked a bit different.

I’m ‘Australian’, whatever that means. I know I’ve got Scottish, Danish and English ancestry. I think there’s some Irish in there too, and I’d be surprised if there isn’t some German somewhere down the line as well. I happened to grow up in a very poor area, surrounded by immigrants. At the time immigrants were known as ‘new Australians’.

My group of friends included a Portuguese kid, a half Indian-half English kid, an English-as-can-be kid, an Italian kid, A Kiwi (New Zealander) kidA Scottish kid, a Macedonian kid, a Romanian kid, A French kid, an Iranian kid, a Pakistani kid, Aboriginal kids, Vietnamese kids, Chinese kids, Cambodian kids, basically kids from every background you can think of.

And you know what? We all got along pretty well. I mean, we had fights but it was the same bullshit that kids fight over anywhere, like who’s turn it is, or who the better footy player is, or which super-hero is better.

There was racism in the community but mostly from the adults. You’d have that one kid that would say stupid shit but that left him with no friends because he was such a dickhead and the rest of us just put up with our parents retarded views on race relations. My step-father, for instance, would refer to the basketball players I worshiped as “black fellas” and refer to anyone even remotely European as a “Dago”. I didn’t understand half of what he was talking about and he was an illiterate, paranoid-schizophrenic, so I didn’t really put a lot of weight in what he said anyway.

Us kids didn’t give two shits where anyone came from. We were just happy to have friends to play with. We got to eat really interesting food at each others houses (not my house though, unless you count old meat burned to a crisp and smothered in tomato sauce as interesting) and ask questions about the things we didn’t understand, like: why do you have so many elephant statues?, who is Buddha?, what’s that hexagonal mirror above your door for?, what the hell is Bok Choy?, Why do you say “Yog ert” instead of “YO Gert” which is, as we all know, the one true and correct way to pronounce ‘yoghurt’?

Anyway! My point is this, racism is really about culture, not genetics. When people lose their shit and start ranting about other races, what they’re usually doing is saying “I like my culture and I find yours unsatisfactory because it’s different to what I’m used to.”

I’ve come to this realisation that your race is your hardware, and your culture is your software. Everyone goes around yelling about the hardware but what they’re really bothered by is the software.

This tour guide is doing a lot of yelling and swearing about race…

Clearly, the bottle of alcohol in her hand, and the spouting of racist remarks and swear words into a microphone on a buss full of tourists make a strong case that we have indeed witnessed a crazy bitch in action.

She’s very misguided and you have to assume she’s going through some difficult times, but you also have to give her one thing, and that’s her point about ‘assimilation’. She does a piss-poor job of getting that point across, probably because she’s a drunk, angry, racist yelling into a microphone but there is some value to that point.

Nobody should have to completely lose their culture if they move to another country but nobody should completely avoid the culture in the place they migrate to, either. One of the things that I think drives racism is the ‘us and them’ mentality that comes about because of the isolation and separation.

It’s understandable that when you’d want to be around people that you can relate to when you move to a foreign place, but when that turns into groups of immigrants gathering in the same neighbourhood and closing themselves off from the rest of the community, that’s not good for the either the immigrants or for the greater community.

What the allegedly crazy bitch in the above video is saying, is “This part of town makes me feel like an outsider in my own city”.

I’m not saying she’s a nice person. I’m not saying she’s not a crazy bitch. I’m not saying she’s not a drunken racist. I’m saying she had a least one point worth talking about and the fact that she chose to swear her way through it in a racist diatribe really hurts her chances of anyone taking that point on board.

If you are an immigrant though, you should consider taking some local culture on board. Learn enough of the local language to get by and don’t choose to live in a community comprised only of immigrants from your home country. Becoming part of the community doesn’t have to mean losing your culture, it often means sharing your culture with while also learning about how the locals do things. All the kids I grew up with did this without a second thought and it worked out great, so maybe there’s something to take from that.

Crazy bitch tip: If every other word you say is fuck, no one is going to take you seriously.

Manners/How Not To Be A Crazy, Racist Bitch – Part 2

9 Jul

It’s not so difficult to adhere to what our society considers having manners. You say please and thank you when you interact with people, you show consideration to those within the community who are frail or carrying a burden and you show respect and courtesy to all people at all times. That’s it. Not exactly complex. Hardly a huge ask.

From time to time you’ll run into people who you believe to be failing in their duty to treat the rest of us with the manners we expect. In this scenario, I believe it’s important to inform the person that they’re doing the wrong thing, so they’re at least aware of it in the future. There’s one vital rule you must follow if you do choose to inform someone that they’re being impolite, however and that is that you have to be polite in the way you do so.

This lady fails miserably in this regard.

know what I mean?

y’know what I mean?

Aside from the revolting racism going on here, which I suspect everyone can immediately identify as wrong, this woman appears to have no clue that she is actually being way more impolite to her bus riding companions than the school kid she’s accusing of poor manners. Sure, the kid standing in the aisle will likely slightly annoy anyone who has to work their way around him but the loud and aggressively racist tirade she spits and snarls at the kid affected everyone on the bus, so much so that someone felt the urge to break out their phone and film it.

Swearing at people won’t encourage people to do what you want them to do, neither will throwing racist insults. The only thing that sort of thing is going to do is create a major confrontation.

Here’s another cautionary example of a woman reacting in the wrong manner in response to her belief that people weren’t being courteous enough to her.

Let’s not beat around the bush here, the lady in this video is ticking all the boxes on the Crazy Bitch checklist and she’s done an amazing job of not only offending an entire train carriage full of people, because this was captured on video on has become a viral story, she’s also reinforced an existing stereotype of Australian people being racists. She’s made a fool of herself and embarrassed an entire country with her actions.

I’ve seen a few follow-ups with the woman where she explains that she’d been having a rough time, had been unemployed for over a year and had been having an extremely tough day and that when nobody would move to give her a seat, she just lost the plot. I’ve actually seen this happen to people and seen how they snap into “I’ll say the meanest thing I can think of about anyone in the vicinity” mode. It’s like the reaction of a cornered animal. That doesn’t really matter though, does it? It doesn’t change what happened. It doesn’t help fix anything and it certainly doesn’t excuse the behaviour.

The point here is that, no matter what else is going on in your life, control yourself! If you think someone’s being rude, it’s OK to point that out but you better check that you’re not being 100 times more rude than they are in the process. Spraying racial slurs and swearing your head off at people is never going to improve a situation and it’s never going to help anyone learn anything else but the fact that they’ve had a run-in with a crazy bitch.

Crazy bitch tip: Mind your own manners, especially when pointing out rudeness in others.

Crazy bitch bonus tip: If you’re plagued with racist thoughts, at least keep that bullshit to yourself.

How not to be a crazy, racist bitch

5 Jun

First, the video.

Ok. Get through all that?

What the fuck is this crazy bitch thinking here?

  • She’s calling him a racist in the same sentence as using a racial slur.
  • She’s going off at this guy for having skin that is dark and starting his car.
  • She’s screaming foul-language laden abuse at a stranger while telling him not to frighten her children.
  • She’s yelling about how the cops she strips in front of will be on her side.
  • She’s threatening to have him beaten up.

Yep. That’s a crazy bitch. That’s a crazy racist bitch. And you couldn’t get a better cautionary example than this particular crazy, racist bitch because she is throwing every example of what not to do right out there for the world to see.

If you really want to be an ignorant, racist stripper and traumatize your children while shaking your arse for your cop husband’s mates, that’s your option but if you want to be one of those and get away with it, you might want to at least not go freaking out over nothing and screaming your hate ridden thoughts at people while they video tape you.

Crazy bitch tip: If you relate to this woman on any level, please don’t breed.
